Breaking the Silence is an impactful initiative aimed at raising awareness about domestic violence and empowering survivors to share their stories. This powerful event brings together community members, advocates, and survivors to engage in meaningful dialogue, highlight resources for those affected by domestic violence, and promote prevention.

Each year, a different topic is chosen for the luncheon. In 2024, Breaking the Silence focused on Domestic Violence and the Workplace. The event took place at the Radnor Hotel on September 26, 2024. This year’s luncheon featured keynote speaker Lynn Fairweather, MSW, President of Presage Consulting and Training LLC and an abuse survivor who has worked in the domestic violence response and prevention field for the past 30 years. Diane Simovich, Founder and President of BW NICE (Business Women Networking Involving Charity & Education) was this year’s honoree.
